I Miss Romance
By Asa Montreaux
We’ve bid adieu to romance,
We’ve thought of ourselves and what we want,
They never fear they’re unrequited when they hadn’t ever loved,
One day again I’ll let my heart be open,
And let love pour from my body.
Maybe you miss the time when loving was for love,
And not only for making sure you stayed alive,
I miss the time when men weren’t just their attributes,
But their souls,
And I miss the time when woman were beautiful inside and out.
I miss love, and I miss romance.
Good poem, oh for the past
