Sickness In Town P. 4

By: Asa Montreaux * When they reached Payton’s house, he was not sure there would be a place for here in the home. Did she make noise? Did she use the bathroom. She probably did. Zombie pee. Hmm. What colour is it? Surely very dark.   He texted Payton from outside on the front porch that he was there. Payton came out and met him and led him into the backyard. There, they weren’t through a door down to the basement. Payton explained this was the only place were he could keep here. “Or else they’ll definitely hear her. And the smell! “ Neil agreed that it was not going to be possible to have her upstairs anywhere. The basement was the best place, though it all felt very like the movie Frankenstein. “Any chance of her escaping?” He asked. “Nah,” Payton said. “There is almost no chance whatsoever. I have a key for this door, and I will snatch my parents key, will just have her in this room, and we will just trap the smell inside. Zombie’s can’t open doors so there shouldn’t be an issue...

Sickness In Town P. 3

By: Asa Montreaux * After a while, he recognized in her something human. Looking at a zombie, you noticed first the inhuman things about it. The most scary, and deathly things stick out to you. But after some time you see the spectre of humanity in the person. He looked at her head, and wondered if there was any love left in her brain. He wondered if she could consider another person, someone other than herself. Was this a person? Perhaps it was not. But it had been a friend. It had been a nice person actually. He missed her to a certain extent just thinking about what she was like, before she became a zombie.  She was worth saving. Was it possible? Not yet. There was no medicine for someone literally becoming a zombie. But one day there would be. Or else what would become of humanity? I mean a lot of people were going to get this. Bernie was a healthy young person. Neil considered that now that he had found her, he would have to have her at his side, or somewhere contained 24/7. W...

Sickness In Town P. 2

By: Asa Montreaux * It was possible Bernie had contracted a zombie virus. Neil had only heard of a few, from long ago in the past, where individuals become unresponsive and zombie-like. They seem to lose their sense of humanity, and go crazy. There was no evidence that they had a craving for brains when infected, but it seemed funny to Neil that maybe they had. Maybe they were gone so crazy they liked weird, gross stuff. Maybe there was a pattern to their getting sick, which hadn’t been identified yet. Whether they ate brains, or not, these Zombies had to be stopped. The first step for Neil was to visit the library, and find out more about Zombie Viruses. Then he needed to go off and find Bernie, no matter how far she’d gone, and ask her herself what it was she was going through. Hopefully she was in remission, or else he’d be risking his life, but he had to find out anyways.   At the library he found no case that seemed so severe as Bernie’s. He didn’t find any instance of s...

The Truth about Phone Cameras

Image
That little thing you bought, even if it is a 1000 dollar iPhone, does not have the camera you think. It may have 12 megapixels, and that's not bad, but think of the size and shape of it. It is only a small camera fit onto a phone smaller than your hand. And it is in the shape of a circle. So what happens when that takes a photo? It takes a photo in a circle. And then when the information is stored? It is turned into a square. So, the photo has to be bent in order to be made. All sides of the photo will be bent, so that the photo can be changed from a circle to a square. All cameras do this, but cameras with bigger lenses, and higher megapixels, will not do this as significantly.  Given that the iPhone camera is so small, and other phone cameras are so small, they are obviously like fisheye lenses. They capture a big space by having a lens that is the shape of a bulb. Given this, it will capture a much wider picture, but store the information of the picture quite distorted. ...

I was attacked by Mormons p 2

I was attacked by Mormons p 2 By: Asa Montreaux Five years ago my next door neighbour died. She was eighty and she had no family. She had left the house to me and no one else. Though she had died suddenly and it was not in writing.  I had the key, it was in one of the drawers in the home, though my parents disagreed that I inherited it. They speculated that it was now foreclosed, and next that there was someone who inherited it inevitably. They said not to even go inside, or else they would report it to the police. Can you believe that, my own parents. The house sat there, with no one inside for a long time. Sometimes it seemed there was a stalker inside, but it was hard to tell. Eventually a for sale sign went up, but no one knew who put it up. It was probably the city. I asked my parents about it, and that was what they said it was. Based off what I am not sure. I think based on how my parents put in calls to make sure I not got it, it was obviously them. For a long time, ...

Sickness In Town

By: Asa Montreaux Payton lived with his parents like any seventeen year old, though there was one small difference. His girlfriend Bernie was over almost 24/7. She never left. And late in the night, she would behave quietly, thinking maybe she tricked Payton’s parents, though they always knew she was there. And when they had sex in the middle of the night, risking pregnancy, they heard everything. When the two had red eyes in class the next morning, the teachers had already been contacted about how they had not been sleeping much, and they knew all about it. Though the two of them went happily through the day assuming no one knew anything. Neil knew all about it, and he had heard conversations time and again about their shenanigans. It was getting weird, as people speculated a little too accurately about who was going down on who. But when he saw them that day, he didn’t mention anything about it. And he did not mention the red eyes to either of them as well.   But to be honest he ...
