AI code fails

By: Asa Montreaux

Recently Microsoft laid off 19 percent of it's work force (in two rounds) to make room for AI.

Many CEOs, including Mark Zuckerberg, have been quoted saying that AI will take over and start coding... basically... now.

But is that true? I though let's find out.

Leetcode is the primary source for coding interviews, which give you a chance to get the job by coding, and then having just one normal interview after. What level are they? Well, obviously, they are the hardest problems. When you go to an Amazon, or a Meta interview, it is a difficult level only room.

And interviewers hate AI coders. They are not allowed. They don't make clean code. They are prone to leaks and hacks to competitors. But they're out there with the Google Glass now.

Obviously it can solve the easiest problem on Leetcode? Done.

Let's put it in:

Here we go:

Hmm. Okay. I know some code. A little cheat for this one.

Well unfortunately, an easy level question, albeit on Leetcode. Is beyond the Chat GPT 4.o model today.

Let's try another popular one. Number 2. It seemed familiar with this one. Maybe it has this solution.

About the coding environment. Hmm. I know one. Let's delete everything.

Well nothing worked. Hmm. Maybe we need Engineers for now.
