Shawn Mendes to begin world tour
By Asa Montreaux
Shawn Mendes will begin touring for his latest release “Wonder” in March. With dates set in Europe first, followed by a trek all the way across North America, Mendes is sure to have a great concert series. Comparables include Harry Styles tour, which grossed 95 million in revenue from the North American leg of its run during 2021, and Justin Bieber’s Purpose tour, which grossed 257 million.
Shawn feels the tour will be a good chance for the fans to see him again. ‘With the Covid-19 pandemic, musicians haven’t been able to tour for almost a couple of years now. For me, it feels good to have a chance to perform again, for a large live audience. In that way, I’m lucky. That I get to see large stadiums full of fans in front of me when I’m playing.’
About starting in Europe, ‘It doesn’t make a difference to me where it starts. I’ll play my hardest anywhere. I guess it’ll be fun to get some big shows happening first. Sometimes that helps with the energy.” The first concert is March 14th in Copenhagen.
